I hate reviews which say "we just got this product and it looks great even though we haven't used it yet!" Well, we have owned our Marquis Elite line spa for half a year now, so that I could give an accurate review of both summertime and wintertime ownership. I am really pleased with both the product and the store. The "salesperson" Don is actually more of a tech guy who gave us good insight into how well different brands work, what parts and repairs are like, and other maintenance information, rather than just trying to sell us on appearance and bells & whistles. In fact, he did the opposite of most salespeople who try to up-sell you by trying to persuade us that we did NOT need the top of the line model because what additional features you would receive were not worth the higher price tag. The purchase, delivery, and set up were smooth. I also appreciate that the spa chemicals they sell are not marked up prices. The spa itself is comfortable and beautiful, generally failry easy to maintain, and has a good variety of jets in different seats. We like the microsilk, which I thought was a gimmick but which now seems worth it to me. I like to balance the chemicals in my pool myself, and I am a little obsessive about water cleanliness and balance, so I initially did not trust the Marquis "you don't have to do anything!" system. In reality, you must always do something because even the best systems do not adjust for use. However, the combination of the smartchlor slow-release cartridges (which creates a low level of free chlorine and a pool of chlorinated hydantoins), mineral cartridges (primarily silver, a known antimicrobial - although bacteriostatic at hot tub temperatures), and ozonation (which can be somewhat useful as a sanitizer and oxidizer in a spa - not a pool! - but only as an adjunct) is an easier but more expensive way of maintaining a baseline level of sanitizing and oxidizing. For me, the extra money (buying cartridges compared to just using less expensive chemicals like dichlor or bleach) is worth not having to test and dose daily. I simply add additional sanitizer to this baseline level when we use the tub, based on bather load. Overall, I am very pleased with both our spa and the store and I recommend both.

Because of the rather antiquated facade of the building and its location, we almost didn't go to Clearwater. That would have been a terrible mistake! We knew immediately when we were greeted that we would be purchasing our hot tub from Clearwater. First of all, our salesperson listened. That alone would be enough to earn 5 stars, but there was more--possibly due to the fact that the sales team members are also the service team. They know their products! From there we were guided by the entire team, including the people to whom we were referred to prepare the site, to do the necessary work to ensure the best possible experience. My only regret is that we don't need another hot tub!

Best experience I have ever had purchasing anything. Don was so knowledgeable on all of his products and is willing to go above and beyond for his clients. The install team was great very friendly and stayed to teach me how to do the chemicals and run the spa. It’s good to know some company’s still deliver the WOW factor and continue to go above and beyond to ensure their customers get the proper service. In this day and age to find a company that is as professional and goes over and above for a potential customer is amazing.
